I know I’m supposed to tag 8 people, but I want to tag everyone I can think of. So, if you want to answer these questions on your blog, do it. If you don’t want to, then don’t (duh) but it’s fun to see what people have to say. Thanks Becky.

I Don't Even Know Where to Start

If you know me at all, you know I usually have lots to say, but once sit down to blog, my mind stalls and I only want to add pictures, ya know what I mean? So, I have some photos of little things I've been doing or things that have been going on. So get ready, it might seem like a lot, and even a little random, but in my life it's the little random things that I like the most.
First: Carson's Boards
The AWESOME Jody Luke does vinyl lettering. I knew wanted to put Carson's name in his room, but I had a lot of ideas bouncing around in my head. Jody was so patient with me as I switched lettering fonts, colors and board sizes. She's the bestest!!!
So after cutting the boards and painting (Jody cut and beveled, I painted)....

...we put the letters on and hung them up. BTW this was not all in one day.

Side Story:
When Maeley saw that I was painting she, of course, wanted to paint too. I wanted her to be able to paint, but I didn't want her to make a huge mess. I asked her what color she'd like to paint, and she replied "blue.", so I put water in a cup and added blue food coloring. Tee hee, she didn't know the difference and was happy painting and I didn't have to worry about cleaning up a huge mess. Second: Carson Sitting Up
Our little boy has been sitting on his own for a few weeks. He started doing it while Jace was out of town so I grabbed a few shots to send to him. His favorite place to sit is in the bathroom in front of the mirror. I'm happy that he likes it, but I can never walk away because it's the one place that if he falls he would do some serious damage to himself. And why is it so natural for a person (Maeley) to want to play with a toy that he/she has had NO interest in for almost 2 years suddenly become so interesting. It's funny how that happens. She was good though and patiently waited for her turn.Third: Family Photos
Another AWESOME friend, Meg, did our family pictures. We have lots that we like, but I don't want to post them until we send out our Christmas cards. These ones won't be sent out, but I still love them.

Forth: The Aults Coming

Sarah and Dale (my sister and her husband) came to Boise and had a little get away. As Alwasy we had a blast with them. But something I've never done before, that I got talked into, was cutting Jon's (my nephew) hair. It was crazy because he actually has a full head of hair as opposed to Jace's hair...ya know what I mean? Look mom, I've come a long way since dad first cut Jon's hair, remember?

Anything else??? Well most everything else I don't have pictures of. But it's been a fun month with lots more to mention, but I think I''ll stop for now. If you haven’t died from boredom, good job. I finally got a new post in! Oh, and if there are lots of typos or run on sentances or whatever; I don't care, I'm not going to go back and fix them.

A Big Pumpkin Seed

Last night we carved pumpkins. Each year I have to fight the urge to throw the gooey insides at someone...anyone. That is the kid in me coming out. But since we were indoors, I controlled myself. The picture above was Meg's great idea. Carson definitely wasn't happy about it until he found his fingers. He's going to be like his Uncle Tom.Too bad we didn't have one big enough for Maeley to fit into. Still, she had fun carving and helping, but didn't like the "insides" they were too cold. Everyone carved their pumpkins and with out planning it they turned out clumped together by family. Can you see a difference between the Smith pumpkins and the Perry pumpkins? I think trick-or-treaters will be more impressed by their cool, scary pumpkins than they will be of our happy, jolly ones.Oh, and I made a Halloween cake and it was one of the easiest I've ever made. The cookie was the hardest part. Yummy. Ya know what; I'm going to go have a piece...hurry home Jace or there might not be any left...

Linder Farms

I'm finally going to update our blog. I've been meaning to for awhile, but there is something about the fall that makes me want to do projects or crafts or redecorate things in my house. So my mind gets busy with these other things and then the blog gets a little neglected. But one thing I can blog about is last night.

Jace, Maeley, Carson and I went to Linder Farms Pumpkin Patch. Jace and I have gone every year since we moved to this area. There was so much to do there besides pick pumpkins. They have a petting zoo (with a zebra and camel), pumpkin launching, corn mazes, train rides and yummy food. But the only time I got the camera out was when we were on the hay ride to the fields. So enjoy the photos of us. I guess if you want to see the other things I mentioned you are just going to have to go to Linder Farms for yourself, its fun and worth it.

September 23rd- This Day in History

Jace and I
1998
Isn't it funny how time flies? Don't get me wrong some of the day-to-day things seem slow (is it bed time yet?, Jace won't be home until...?, mom and dad have only been gone 5 months?) But in all honesty time flies.

September 23rd, 2000.
Jace and I were in college. We drove up to Mesa Falls with a few roommates, who by the way knew what was going to happen on this day. We walked down to the waterfalls and admired them. Jace pulled me aside at one point and while looking over the largest fall got down on one knee and asked me to marry him! FYI we had been dating for several years (as the photo above proves) and we knew we'd get married, but this was, the real thing. FINALLY! Wow, I can't believe that was 8 years ago. This day in history is one of my favorite. Do you think he'd ask then if he could rewind time?

September 23rd, 2007
This was the day of the fitness celebration last year. After the run, Meg, Jamie and I went to lunch. We were talking about babies. I asked "Who do you think will have the next baby?" Meg and Jamie were "trying", but I wasn't. It was a fun topic. However, that night when I went home I realized I was "late". I kinda freaked, bought a test, and freaked out more. This day in history is when I found out we were going to have another little baby. That was a year ago, time flies!

Rain, Rain and more Rain

Jamie said it hadn't rained since July 22nd...until today. This morning we woke up to loud, but awesome, thunder and lotsa rain. I'd normally listen and watch the storm, but today was the WOMENS FITNESS CELEBRATION!! In case you aren't familiar it's a little 5K.

The only waterproof pants I have are snow pants...I can't wear those. The jacket I was wearing I thought was waterproof, but I soon found out, it wasn’t; I should’ve known since it was from the GAP. But we still ran, cheered, laughed, got extremely wet (especially our feet) and finally went out for breakfast.

Jamie, Tess and I before we started Here we are waiting for our wave to be called. It was still raining so we waited in the entrance of a parking garage.
Meg was our entertainment. She stood over the vent and did a little dance...That's how she warms up...
Then she pulled out Marilyn. Meg-I wasn't going to put this on, but I couldn't help it. I laughed so hard when I saw this picture.
Tess and I stopped to take a picture of all the runners. We were faster than all those people...jk. There were probably at least twice as many people in front of us.
All done...ready to get in the car and dry off!!! It was fun, we'll do it again next year.

Love You Daddy

This is for Daddy while you are gone, we love you!
