Our Bili Baby

Carson has been slowly fighting off jaundice. We had heard of jaundice, but who knew it could be such a big deal. He had a count of 18 then 19, then 16 and now 14. So we were instructed to put a bili blanket on him for the last few days. It has been helping lots. But here are some photos of him before the blankie and with the blankie. The machine is kinda a pain, but worth it.

Little Carson

Maeley was so excited to get to bring Carson home. She HAD to help bring him inside and get him all comfy.

We still need to get pictures of him with his eyes open. More to come...

He's Here!!!

It was early Thursday morning, 4:40am to be exact, May 22nd, 2008, when we left for the hospital. The labor part wasn't too bad
thanks to Jace
and Sarah.
YAY, at 12:44pm Carson Jace Perry was born!!! Weighing 8.5lbs, and 21 inches in length. We were happy to be done with the labor and delivery, but even happier that he is strong and healthy.
Then the fun part came... Grama Wen brought Maeley to the hospital to meet Carson for the first time.
We were wondering how she would react. Would she be jealous, or accepting? You'll have to watch and see...

Still Alive, Just Preoccupied

Obliviously, I'm not the best blogger, but I know I need to update. We haven't fallen off the face of the earth; we've just been pretty busy. We've been out of town for a few weekends for Trae's (Jace's brother) wedding and reception and with all this nice weather, we've been outside and playing lots. And we've been busy, busy busy getting everything ready for the baby.

Anyway I took some photos on Saturday of Maeley with her new little pool. We usually get season passes to Roaring Springs, but this year we didn't because I don't want to take a newborn to the water park and have him sit in the 100 degree weather for a few hours a day. But next year we'll do it again. So instead we bought a few things to entertain Maeley in the backyard. Her favorite is the pool, SHOCKER!!

This is Maeley running into the back yard. She's ready to go and was just telling her daddy to hurry and come "simming"

What do you think Maeley, is it full enough yet?
I don't care....
because I'm going simming.

Jace and Maeley swimming. BTW, it's not in irrigation water, ICK!
